UI Design / Visual Design for mobile app

This app is for a fitness and wellness organization, for improving the lifestyle of their clients. I was the UI Designer.
As a group, we opted to focus our attention and energy on defining and developing just the core loop of our concept. The core loop consists of just the key interactions that the user will be performing within the experience or the reason that the app exists. As a team, we defined this as three key features: Goal tracking, task tracking, and progress checking (dashboard).
The interaction selection: when the user selects the goal, the circles will be filled.

The Art process:
I started experimenting with colours in several iterations by considering the target audience -female millennials- who prefer more fresh and pastel colours. I continued choosing colours from nature and healthy visual references.
As the function of this app features 8 different goals, having a unique colour for each one of the goals was challenging. I found out that pastel colours worked better than flashy gradient colours.
